In the box: 2 globes, 1 controller box, 1 remote and the wiring loom. The globes plug into the controller with the black round plugs with locking nuts.
- Fit the globe. Remove the round collar from the globe, lock the collar into the headlight first, then slide the globe in. Tuck the small driver box inside the dust cap if it fits. If it does not, it can sit outside, just run the wire through the cap and seal the hole.
- Plug in. Connect the car's headlight plug to the globe (the H7 globe comes with a plastic adapter which can be removed if your plug does not need it). Connect the globe's black plug to the controller, making sure the arrows on the two black plugs face each other and the locking nut is done up.
- Power the controller from the fuse box or battery (see the controller wiring article).
- Test. Turn the headlights on and check the white. Turn the headlights off and use the remote to check the colours.
White not working on one side? Unplug the headlight plug from the globe, flip it 180 degrees and plug it back in. LED globes are polarity sensitive and some cars have the pins the other way around. Same fix for H1 and H4.
Colours not working? The headlights (white LED) need to be off for the colours to come on. If they still will not come on with the headlights off, see the troubleshooting article.
HID (xenon) cars, D1S/D2S/D3S/D4S: unplug the HID ballast box. Our globe's wires go into the female end of that plug. The ballast and the wire from the ballast to the old globe are no longer needed. Never connect our globes through the ballast. On a D2H globe the low and high beam is handled by the headlight's cut off flap, so one globe does both.
